For over 2 years now Cogswell has been working towards doing our part to propel music into the 21st century by using state of the art technology and musical knowledge to create a new style of music. The auditory culmination of these concepts have been recorded and produced to include resources barely tapped by today's artists, such as:• Using A master computer to manage all incoming and outgoing signals, and allowing real-time manipulation of both.• Using concepts of glitching with live instruments such as with guitar, (Software based amp simulation, digital 8 bit and sample rate distortion, time synced delays, and synthetic pitch backing• A combination of acoustic drums and electronic samples and synthetic drums which provides the drummer the ability to stray from the obligatory rhythm allowing percussionistic-style freedom.• Using keyboard elements from electric synthesizers, (arpreggiator, polysynths), as well as organic keyed instruments (organs, eps, grand pianos), with the ability to layer various elements within the players two hand zones.These are just a few of the ground breaking concepts that Cogswell believes will be on the forefront of music in the coming years.Due to what we view as a musical slump in history, we have also stayed true to letting musical talent prevail over synthesis:• Time signature, polyrhythms• Lyrics based arrangement• Genre switchingCogswell has a passion for arts and entertainment, as well as attaining as much knowledge as possible to progress music and life as a whole.
