WCFM formed in Austin in 2012. This is their first studio album, featuring lyrics by Andrew Schay and music by John Ortega. Mixed and mastered by Eric McKinney of Wonderland Studios. Recorded as a three-piece rock album, with a stripped down concept to tell the truth about love. Originally intended to start and end with"The Prettys" AGCY evolved over several months of blood, sweat and tears (not to mention broken relationships and betrayals). Now the album opens with a minor key challenge to the listener, announcing, unequivocally, that love causes suffering. Hypergamy and Battle of the Sexes start the set with conflict, before moving on to softer, more romantic themes of songs like Passat and All Of You. But underneath these simple, fun, catchy tunes, is the dark heart of real pathos. Humor and wit, along with driving rhythms, sweeten the bitter medicine of life experience and tragic romance. Alas, rather than ending with resolution Pretty on The Inside shifts perspective to the third person and sets the stage for heavier, more introspective albums to come.We Come From Music is touring the east coast as an acoustic duo, sharing songs, stories, and more of that hard earned pathos.
