Humanity and technology have co-evolved. This album is a musical exploration of the potential for an innate connection between the sentient mind of man and the sentient mind of machine. Put simply, how might the feelings and emotions of human beings and synthetic beings be expressed simultaneously through music? A basic catalyst had to be chosen from which to interpret machine based consciousness. Color is often culturally associated with mood or action, and was therefore designated the appropriate emotional impetus for our experiment. Individual colors were chosen as inspiration and direction for individual songs, and subsequent musical qualities were drawn from these interpretations, and into in our best emotional replication of sentient robotic thought. The colors were then renamed as loosely correlated song titles, to avoid guiding the listener towards preconceived thought, and to formulate a more esoteric storyline for the listener to be lost within. The result is our album 'Synesthesia'. 1 : a concomitant sensation; especially : a subjective sensation or image of a sense (as of color) other than the one (as of sound) being stimulated 2 : the condition marked by the experience of such sensationsWe are Vandal Moon.
