Brad Perkins“Just Another Traveler” Brad Perkins is a talented singer/songwriter/producer currently living and recording in the Blue Ridge Mountains of northeastern Georgia. Recently transplanted from Houston, Texas, he has a unique familiarity of both urban and rural perspectives. His background as a composer, musician, and professional photographer/film-maker allows him to create songs of universal appeal that reflect the feelings that all of us have from time to time. After more than 12 years of producing soundtracks for films and videos, Brad turned his efforts toward a more personal project. He draws upon years of international travel and his vast experiences to paint lyrical landscapes that touch the heart and invoke images of life, love, and loss.His musical style is a subtle (and sometimes, not so subtle) blend of blues, jazz, rock, R&B, and Americana. However, unlike traditional stylists, Brad crafts these diverse musical genres into unique juxtapositions that carry the listener seamlessly along the journey.Brad’s debut music CD release, “Just Another Traveler” contains a combination of songs that illustrate the temporary and transient nature of love in a poignant, yet edgy and sometimes humorous manner. His choice of instrumentation and production enhance the accessibility of the stories that the songs portray. Brad’s uncanny sense of timing and rhythm are quite evident on this recording. “Just Another Traveler” contains 18 selections, all of which were composed, performed, and produced by Brad at his independent recording studio in Clarkesville, Georgia. His lyrics stir the emotions and summon memories common to everyone. Several instrumental offerings showcase his compositional and musical abilities.
