Tom Snow is a famous songwriter having co-written the multi million seller Let's Hear It For The Boy from the Footloose Soundtrack, Thunder In Your Heart with Leo Sayer and many many more for artists including Bonnie Raitt, Pointer Sisters, Linda Ronstadt, Barry Manilow, Little Feat, etc, etc. However, Tom's career started with the hippest of legends. In 1965 Tom was a member of Gram Parson's THE LIKE which morphed in to the first ever Country Rock band The International Submarine Band. Tom acknowledges that it was Gram's influence that turned him on to country music and led in 1970 to the formation of Tom's first band aptly called COUNTRY who released a wonderful but forgotten self-titled album in 1971 (also available from Slipstream Record). Following the unfair failure of this record Tom decided to venture out alone and under the guidance of producer Peter Asher recorded this album of songs in 1972 with a host of musical geniuses including Danny Kortchmar, Wilton Felder, Russ Kunkel, Red Rhodes and Michael Brecker. Sadly the album was never released so it is with great honour that 43 years on Slipstream Records have been kindly given the opportunity by Tom to release this wonderful record.
