“Impasse” is a dreamy synthesis of the individual band mates’ harmonious inclinations. Infused with groovy flights of guitar riffs and sultry bass lines, each track is representative of the eclectic symbiosis. Inspired loosely by their crossing to New York from India, Sepoy also pulls from influences such as Pink Floyd, Led Zeppelin, Rush, Genesis, Radiohead, The Smiths, and R.E.M for their introductory record. The album expertly marries quirky, experimental jams with deeply intimate ballads, one of which being the track “Loved in the USA.”
