When it came time to record his debut album “Southbound Heart”, Jeremy Poland was excited and eager to take the songs he had written and bring them to life in the studio. He partnered with friend and band member Lantz Dale who produced, sang and played guitar on the record. There were three criteria Jeremy had when it came time to record this album. He wanted it to be honest, raw and listenable. What you hear on this album is a mixture of influences from Jeremy's life. Being raised by a spanish mother, a bull riding father and a rebellious sister, he was turned on to countless different styles of music. With Southbound Heart you'll find tons of energy, soul, heart, killer vocals and perfect music fills. All the songs written for this record are filled with love, hope and positivity. In 2009 Jeremy entered a radio contest with his song"Man On Fire" and won the opportunity to open for the band Switchfoot. The song derived from a sermon Jeremy’s dad wrote and tells about how we can be the difference and make a change in this negative based world we live in."You Belong With Me" is a pop/rock love song that seemingly wrote itself because he wanted nothing more than to have his love know that he was the one for her. From the lyrics, to the voice, to the in your face energy, this song never disappoints."Antarctica" a melodic, worldly and upbeat song is beautiful musically and vocally and will have you tapping your toe in seconds."Let’s Run Away" is a rock tune that will make you want to jump in your car, roll the windows down, and jam out like no one is watching. Jeremy Poland’s “Southbound Heart” has so many styles and influences your bound to find something that you will be singing and playing again and again. Jeremy currently plays over 120 shows a year asthe frontman for the band IV Play, solo acoustic shows and with the Jeremy Poland Band.
