As a guitarist and songwriter, he has released 5 albums with his Rock/Powerpop group 89 Mojo, a well-known Wisconsin band of best friends that he continues to perform with. His musical endeavors, however, increased after his dad passed away from a hard-fought battle with cancer. Suddenly, he felt compelled to give life to the new songs he'd been writing since rediscovering his faith, which (surprisingly enough) occurred while introducing his young girls to church. With solo releases"Free For The Giving" and the brand new"Faith and Doubt", Grant continues to climb out of shells. Besides handling all the vocals, guitars and bass on the albums, he also pushes his lyrical boundaries by diving deep into matters of love, faith, life and death, and tries to make sense of our place in all of it.
