The ultimate compilation from four early Lunar Woods releases. Nineteen remastered tracks from 'Welcome', 'Crazy Day', 'Hey, Doc!' and 'Feel Better' collected together on the one album. Line-up:Ilya Fokin – vocals, guitars, keyboards Aleksey Trefilov – bass, upright Pavel Andrianov - drums and percussionCD1 - WelcomeWelcome EP - is the first and long-awaited Lunar Woods release. Strong mix of hopelessness, apathy, and at the same time strong, sincere and touching emotions, deep and sensual lyrics and groovy riffs - that was the way that Lunar Woods presented themselves to the world.Specific Lunar Woods benchmark is that on their picture of black clouds and gray winds they always draw rays of hope. Their music isn't hymn of the lost life - it is music about how to survive in difficult circumstances, how to stay honest and strong… how to stay yourself! If you want to spend time in the style of"sex, drugs, rock and roll", if the soul asks that for a joy - maybe this album is not for you today - left it for tomorrow… It does not have a furious pace and frenzy, it is not suitable for parties - it's a very personal, spiritual work.Album contains very different tracks by the genre and mood. Nevertheless, 'Welcome' EP has a very definite concept and the tracks for it were chosen not by chance - musicians thought a lot about the set list and order of the songs. Guys tried to make a conceptual EP album that speaks for itself «Welcome to my mind (c)» on behalf of the Lunar Woods.Cover art by Aleksey Trefilov and Ilya FokinAll songs by Lunar Woods (Ilya Fokin and Aleksey Trefilov) except See Emily Play (Syd Barrett)Recorded, mixed and mastered at Lunar Woods home studio 2011-2013. CD2 - Crazy Day + Hey, Doc!The second official band's EP, that was released shortly after its predecessor. On 'Crazy Day' the band even more established in their unique sound, a unique sound of Lunar Woods, that is slightly unclassifiable. In general, that release is more scathing, more rock and dynamic than previous work. It contains less melancholy and more flight than the predecessor. The band members became more self-confident, they added to the album a bit of sarcasm, a bit of sexuality, a little mockery of circumstances and a little less sadness about negative moments of life. The album meets listener with dynamic rhythmic songs, turning into an instrumental composition that elevates the listener first up, and then, later, under the water, together with the chirping of seagulls wafting in the end of the track. The final part of the release will give to the listener more quiet things - sticky and almost unrecognizable cover of the song 'It's Only Love' originally by The Beatles - and the ballad Far Away, a ballad with a very strong sharp lyrics, unusual experimental dissonant sound and specific sudden ending. Ending that leaves the listener in some pleasant surprise and feeling of unfinished finish. Both song and the whole release.Cover art by Michail Reznikov. CD3 - Feel BetterThe third EP-album, as well as the latest release, recorded in the original duet with session drummer. In general, saving the original sound of Lunar Woods, is quite different from its predecessors. 'Feel Better' EP is darker than previous band's works. Perhaps the inner world of the album perfectly displays the album cover - a quiet, dreamy, but at the same time, the darkness. The album lyrics are generally more psychological than before. That release raise more themes of relationships with other people and their problems than some personal internal problems. One of the main themes of the release is also the theme of the inner struggle of man, person's formation in the world. Lunar Woods was more experimental in sound that time: with music sizes, freaky melodies and sonic ideas.During listening to the album, there is a sense of awakening, a feeling that you are standing behind the line - and only now you can realize that in this world all boundaries are blurred, everyone has their own truth, that peace of mind has a price that not everyone is able to pay ... no one will say how you should to live or think. Your way is only yours, regardless of how it is fortunate.Cover art by Ekaterina Lebedeva.
