Passion. No word could speak more fluently of five guys hailing from Toledo, Ohio when it comes to their affection for music. That certainty is what brought Against The Fire together in January of 2005. Against The Fire spent the last two years together working hard touring the Midwest, obtaining supporting slots on shows with Breaking Benjamin, Hit The Lights, Powerspace, Story Of The Year, A Static Lullaby, Jack's Mannequin, Spitalfield, Stretch Armstrong, Amber Pacific, Monty Are I and countless others. After releasing their debut EP, entitled “Great Demands”, in March of 2006, they immediately returned to the road, doing whatever they could to get their music into eager ears. Against The Fire has become known for being dedicated to their crowd. They crave fan interaction and enjoy the passion of a crazed audience. They live for putting on a riveting, high-energy show, and it’s an aura you can feel when you see them on stage doing what they love most.“It was kind of crazy at first, you know, seeing all these people I’d never met before singing my lyrics right back at me. It was hard to believe how fast we’d grown in such a short time, but at the same time we were having so much fun, and have been ever since.” says front-man Joshua Russell.Even if it meant spending long nights in their van, running out of cash, or hopping on last minute shows, Against The Fire has proven themselves ready to push their limits and show the world they are serious about what they love.“We’re about being true to ourselves.
