Band Leader Noah Manheimer: When I was just a pup, my folks played me all kinds of music from the great classical composers to The Beatles and world music from around the globe. Even at a young age, I found all of it to be accessible and enjoyable. These fond musical memories are at the core of Fezcat's philosophy--that children can appreciate music that is diverse and sophisticated, and that they do not need to be 'played down to.' From the funk of"Shake Your Belly" to the reggae version of"Ooh Child," Fezcat navigates a wide range of stylistic and emotional landscapes. Musicianship and production values are key along with playfulness and a sense of humor.
