专辑《Believe》 简介
GEORGIE BRENNANOne of the finest original Indie songwriters today is back! Believe is the latest disc by Georgie Brennan and based on the ten tracks he has given us in his latest 2011 effort, there is little question that there will be plenty of Georgie Brennan “believers” in a very short time. The New York City born songwriter, with his boyish good looks and his deep dimpled smile, clearly distinguishes his 40 years of maturation from his novice exterior the minute you push play. His first three tracks, “Simple Man”, “Some Believe”, and “My Wish For You,” immediately lure you in with his soft infectious vocals, his unique gift for lyrical eloquence, and his acoustic bodied soul. In this track order, he addresses the happiness of a simple life before technological dependency, the clever metaphorical perception of individualized faith, and then he poetically becomes the parental tour guide for the perilous journey through life’s many excursions. His patriotic and contagious anthem, “Fabric of America”, is clearly a corporate dream song. This is the perfect cleanup hitter in this batting order of songs. You will be humming it in the shower for weeks!“New Dad”, “Brother’s Best Friend”, and “Kind of Night” all consistently bridge the midsection of the disc with the honest and descriptive originality of Georgie Brennan’s style; The jubilant emotions of what being a new parent, a loving sibling, or an intimate romantic is like. Most people could never openly express these feelings, but like all Georgie Brennan songs, he has the natural ability of expressing musically what we most cherish internally. He is a very poignant artist. Perhaps even an audible voice of reason in a visual text driven society.Believe concludes with “Songwriter”, a well written and alarmingly accurate portrayal of the profession. He ties Believe up in a bow with the last two humor driven songs, “Talking Is An Irish Thing” and “Generation X.” The finale certainly exhibits Brennan’s guitar virtuosity, as the final song is clearly the identifiable rally cry for the 80’s generation that they never really had. This disc is inspirational, original, and so well done! Georgie Brennan has now consistently proven that no lyric is a simple word without emotion, no music accompaniment lacks soul, and that any skeptic listening for the first time will soon “Believe” in Georgie Brennan!BIOGeorgie Brennan has been writing songs for well over twenty years. He frequently worked his new singles over his college campus radio station (WSJU) and the songwriter was well on his way for display. In a case of life imitating art, Georgie Brennan put the famous Dire Straits hit “Money For Nothing” lyrics to good use by “playing the guitar on the MTV.” He became the guitar composer and recording artist for the animated characters “Trent” and “Jesse” and their animated band “Mystik Spiral” on the popular MTV animated series, Daria.Georgie Brennan played the musical side of both characters for over three years (1997-2000) and in the final season, the single “Friggin Friends” from the made-for-tv movie “Daria – Is It Fall Yet?
