“Hello Christmas” is a first-time entry for this new artist, Marcia McFarland West, a “first fruits” of sorts with proceeds being shared with an important charitable cause, Samaritan’s Purse Operation Christmas Child. Ms. West is building a repertoire of original Contemporary Christian compositions ranging from up-tempo to soul searching, even a bit of electronics to reach audiences young and old with the good news gospel. Her thought-provoking lyrics partnered with original soundtracks created by David Zaccaria at A Sound Recording are sure hits. “Hello Christmas” encourages us to see Christmas as a bright spot in a hectic, sometimes dreary winter season. The melody is soothing, her vocal is strong and the track is rich with musical nuances to reflect the season. This is one song that can be added to holiday playlists for years to come.
