At first glance, the title may seem a bit audacious..."Hear Me Now!" The truth is many of our prayers are comprised of a list of requests and demands rather than an intimate conversation with someone we love. I was in a season of disappointment when I began writing the title track to this CD, once again coming to God with a litany of complaints and pleadings for Him to intervene in my situation."Do you even hear me? Are you even there?" That was the extent of my one-sided conversation that day. I put pen to paper and started writing down my thoughts."I long to hear you whisper, to hear you speak my name, that no matter what may happen you love me just the same... hear me now."And then I did hear. Oh, not an audible voice, but a soft prodding in my heart where God simply said,"I'm saying the same thing… Hear me now."And so began the musical journey of"Hear Me Now." Like you and me, He longs to hear us, and to know that we love Him too, no matter what may happen. I realized that He's calling out to us in so many ways if we just stop to listen. This is the theme of the album, I guess - a collection of songs expressing the myriad of ways in which God speaks to us. Sometimes that's through a walk in the woods, His word, the love of a friend or spouse, or sometimes even through seeing our own messed up situations and being challenged to go outside our comfort zones. It's not a new concept, this Good News, but hopefully through these songs, I've been able to tell you the old, old story in a way you've not heard it before through words and melodies that cause you to say, “I never thought about it that way.”After all... Isn't that what art is all about?Blessings,Tammy BordenARTISTS FEATURED ON THIS ALBUM:Tammy Borden (vocals, keys)Scott Wilson (guitars, mandolin, keys)Tammy Mischka (backing vocals, keys)John Dougherty (drums)Rhex Arboleda (Percussion)Jason Kanable (Bass)Tom Jones (Saxophone)Nate Lenz (Backing vocals)
