He recorded such hits as “Teddy Bear” and “Giddy-Up Go”. Roger found his place in the music industry as an executive and champion of songwriters. His career included such companies as Cedarwood Publishing, Show-Biz Publishing, Welk Music, and Tree International. He excelled as the Vice President of the performing rights society BMI in Nashville. Roger served on many boards in various capacities, including the National Academy of Recording Arts & Sciences (NARAS), the Country Music Foundation, the Copyright Society of the South, R.O.P.E., the Country Music Association, the Tennessee Film, Entertainment & Music Commission, and the T.J.
