Bill Dale is a Brit, now living in Denmark. He can perform in a number of music-genres, and to prove it, please read his short bio below.This album is a mix of Country-Pop-Rock with all songs written by U.K. songwriter Vic Holdroyd, including co-writes with Henri Piccini, and Kevin Fleming. The album was produced in Denmark with Worm Studio in Hjorring, to whom a big"thank you" is given. Bill was born and raised in London and started playing and singing skiffle songs in London pubs in 1960.He played with a few different bands in the early 60’s, and a few of the people with whom he played made it big, like Steve Howe (from Yes).He was offered a job in “The Honycombs” (Have I the right) but turned it down. When they got to nr.2 in the top ten, he kicked himself!!In 1964 he recorded with “Annette and the Keymen” on King Records, an American company, and went professional with a long tour of Scotland.He went on to play all over England in the 60’s, and backed"Bernie Elliot" (Money, New Orleans) for a while. He also had a Scottish tour, backing"Screaming Lord Sutch" (that was a nightmare with him running round in a bearskin with swords and a club).In 1966 he played the Star Club Hamburg, and for the next year and a half played more in Germany than in England.In 1967 he jammed with Jimi Hendrix and his drummer Mitch Mitchell, for about an hour in the K52 club in Frankfurt. Jimi was over to plug his record on Beat Club.Back in England the band changed their name to “The Plague” and cut a record for Decca, which has been re-released on many 60’s compilation CDs and LPs, and was also re-released as a vinyl 45rpm record for collectors about 6 years ago.Later they changed their name to “The Explosive” and recorded on President Records.They released 5 singles on the President label, which you can still hear on You Tube, and iTunes today.One cut was in the Top 50 in 1969, which helped procure radio work with the BBC (Radio 1 club, John Peel), and some TV spots.In 1971 there was a long tour in Israel with"Mungo Jerry"," Middle of the road", and"Christie", and a lot of the top Israeli stars, where the record ("Miss Alice's Garden") reached number 8 in Israel’s Top Ten in 1970.After 3 months in Israel the band came back to England, and the band broke up.Bill then went to Denmark to join his Danish-born wife who had been visiting her family, while he was in Israel.Bill then stayed in Denmark where he has lived, played and worked for the last 40 years.He has recorded with different bands, and backed visiting singers like Tony Sheridan.He also worked in Denmark as a part of “Johnny and the Hurricanes” with Johnny Paris.He now works with 2 local bands, “Recycle” and"Bongoes”He now relaxes, and enjoys family life with his wife, 2 children, and 8 grandchildren!Bill says" I had a great time recording this album, with Vic’s great songs, and with the backing singers “Trio Acapella”.
