"Shocked"... that was the most common reaction when Charlie Ganim announced to the world about his love for songwriting. You see, Charlie had held onto his secret for more than a decade. He grew up listening to great songwriters like Springsteen, Counting Crows and David Gray and always imagined the thrill of putting words and music together and having others listen to what had been going on in his head for so long.It was after the divorce of his wife of 24 years, that timidity gave way to passion and the words in Charlie's head could no longer be limited to imagination. He had to get them out and on paper. With no actual music training, he turned to Ken Halford, a high school friend who had since become a part of the music scene in Nashville, Los Angeles and most recently, Dallas-Fort Worth, working with national famed songwriters such as Jewel, along with local budding talents like Cody Culberson. Halford was instantly intrigued and got down to business with Culberson, Josh Hendrick, Tim Hood and others, penning music, producing demos and making lyric suggestions that shifted Ganim's songwriting to a professional caliber.Now it is obvious that the creative floodgates have burst open for Charlie Ganim.
