LORRIE was born in Livermore Falls, Maine. When she was 13 years old, her brother taught her to play in the keyof C on the guitar. When she wanted to learn more, he told her to buy some books and teach herself. That'sexactly what she did.She started right out in Country music and that is where she stayed. The first song she learned was a song by Roy Rogers,"Teardrops in my heart".She played with a band at the Do Ray Melody Ranch inMerrimac, Mass. for a few years. In 1974, she movedto Cal. where she met her future husband and they formed a band called the"Country Hoedowners" in 1977.The band stayed together for ten years until life started taking members in different directions.LORRIE has always loved Country music. Her favorite female vocalist is Connie Smith.This CD was made to leave a legacy for her children,relatives and friends.
