Marco Ziccardi (Foundation Records) teleports listeners straight to the golden era of 1976–1978 with"Cherry Vinyl", a masterclass in nostalgic soft-disco and romantic soft-soul. The Vibe: A warm, glossy, and sun-drenched romance captured on analog. The lyrics paint a cinematic picture of late-night radio glows, denim sleeves, and late-70s nostalgia. The Sound: Built on a satin-smooth four-on-the-floor groove, the track thrives on elastic live basslines, playful wah-guitar sprinkles, brushed congas, and sweeping cinematic strings. The Arrangement: An intimate, close-mic verse glides effortlessly into a handclap-driven pre-chorus, before blooming into a widescreen chorus with stacked harmonies and an infectious sing-back hook ("Keep it sweet, keep it sweet"). Ear Candy: Authentic vinyl crackle, shimmering bell accents, and reversed cymbal swells that wrap the listener in a borrowed golden haze.
