This sophomore album from Django Lumiere is a tone poem chronicling the onset, development, treatment and the struggle of living with Schizophrenia. Heavily influenced by and very much an unofficial soundtrack to the book"The Shock Of The Fall" by Nathan Filer, the scope and scale of"A Blurring Of The Edges" is glorious. The clever rhythmical dynamics, unexpected time changes and tonal shifts collide to create a sumptuously melodic whole, with each track moving the story along with a seemingly effortless beauty.. The album is bookended by the 2 part"Distorted Memory", where the time signature, key and some detail differ between parts to create two perspectives of the same idea, echoing how a memory can alter and change into something similar but, ultimately, different over time.
