Outsides is Tim Ellis (Singer/Songwriter/Producer), a recent transplant to LA from Kansas City. His first release"Million" is a collection of dreamy synth pop anthems in the vein of M83 and Washed Out, drawing influences from classic bands like Tangerine Dream, The Cocteau Twins and modern artists like the Chromatics. With the release of"Million" came high profile support slots with Arctic Monkeys, Foals, Catfish and the Bottlemen, Bleachers, Glass Animals, Smallpools, Misterwives, Jungle, all while consistently headlining sold out shows in Kansas City. The albums first 2 singles"Seesaw" and"Just Curious" were put into rotation on radio stations across the country including taste makers like KEXP in Seattle, WRFF in Philly, KITS in San Fransisco, and KRBZ in Kansas City eventually charting in the top 20 on subModern charts. The album's 3rd single"Back Home" was used for high end speaker company, Bose' 2015 online ad campaign. Tim's music has been used for Target TV commercials as well as various indie films and video games. Outsides will be releasing his follow up,"Billion" this winter, an album that finds Ellis coming into his own as a songwriter, channeling pop/rock staples like George Lewis Jr., and Brandon Flowers along with electronic producers like Jonny Jewel and Alan Palomo.
