The mixers in this system will be referred to as mixer 1, mixer 2, and mixer 3. Each mixer has 2 channel inputs and 8 channel outputs. Mixer 1 and mixer 2 halve the output voltage and feed it into the 24-channel mixer, which has 24 input channels and 2 output channels. The 24-channel mixer pans these signals to move the sound image left and right. The 8-channel output signal from mixer 3 is converted into a 2-channel signal using a mixing device, such that the sound image can be moved left and right. However, the voltage of the 8-channel signal is halved by the mixing device. The converted 2-channel signal is input into a 24-channel mixer. The 24-channel mixer pans the 2-channel signal to create the right- and left-channel signals. The Waveform Audio File Format (WAV file) from track 1 to track 4 was recorded using the death growls. The WAV file for track 5 was recorded using both the death growls and metal percussion. When the recordings for track 5 were made, the reverb and delay of the digital audio workstation used in the previous experiment was not used; instead, effect pedals were employed to change the timbre. The WAV file signal was played back from the computer. That signal was input to mixer 3 via a USB audio interface. The WAV file and mixer sound quality were improved to enhance the acoustic characteristics of the system. Compared to conventional systems, the noise output from each mixer was reduced, allowing for faithful reproduction of the filter and WAV file sounds.
