A musical origin story, of sorts: ‘Wrought From The Walls,’ the debut EP from Obfusc, originally released in 2005. Enthusiastically created in a few weeks’ time amidst the opaque Brooklyn summer, fueled by the sound of cicadas buzzing in the trees and inspired, aimless daytime excursions to far-flung corners of the city. Eleven years later, the tracks still resonate with me as a document of simplicity and of finding one’s way through the process of creating. Dusted off, touched up, and personally remastered for wider digital release (complete with updated artwork) on 08/05/2016, ‘Wrought From The Walls EP (Remastered)’ showcases my beginnings as Obfusc.
