On a darkening afternoon last fall, I was purposelessly sifting through YouTube videos of songs, letting them play, walking away, and letting it shuffle on to different videos. After a few songs, the most familiar, beautiful melody appeared. It had a vintage quality, and reminded me of memories with its lo-fi, shoegaze sound. I recognized this song somehow, and checked tosee what it was. It was 'Dreamcatcher' by Sad Souls, the artist name of Michigan-based Tom Auty.
