After a dozen years of making music and writing songs together, The Dirty Cowards (singer Dan Reed and guitarist Rob Ponce) have compiled their best songs into a debut album World of Strangers. The album, a mix of deeply personal narratives and rowdy foot-stompers, sums up a long, emotional journey filled with broken relationships, wandering travels and a few diversions into mythology. The Dirty Cowards' sound has been compared to Townes Van Zandt, Ramblin' Jack Elliott and The Violent Femmes. The Dirty Cowards met at Bard College and hail from Philadelphia and Brooklyn, respectively.
