Rêve Rocket is a music project created by Mexican producer Rodrigo Partida, former ex-keyboard player from Las Papayas de Celaya band, and present in the city’s music scene since 2004. He has worked with musicians including Diego Brunel, Rodrigo Torres (The Polar Dream) and Danel Mescales. Rêve Rocket started in 2014, solidly combining Ambient, Downtempo and Freestyle Electronica.This project is based in loops with well defined beats and basses, highly dynamic sounds, thorough melodies and harmonies, and a spark of sense of humor. Rêve Rocket is also diverse through collaborations of external musicians as Rodrigo Morfin, Rick Part (El Cuervo de Poe), David Ponce, Antonio Magaña and Angie Pam.This project is essentially electronic. However, its sound is based in classic synths such as DX Road, Hammond and Wurlitzer, and in diverse genres including Jazz, Bossa Nova, Blues, Rock and Roll and classical. The tracks are mostly instrumental, but occasionally human voices join in.Rêve Rocket’s masters and influences include jazzist Willy Zabala, soloist César Octavio Hernández, and bands as Air, Daft Punk, Chemical Brothers, Shpongle, Brian Eno and Pink Floyd.
