These are eight of my favorite familiar Christmas songs, arranged and performed on piano, and then arranged with two separate orchestrations: solo piano and/or piano and strings. The strings (keyboard violins and violas) offer a soothing accompaniment to the acoustic piano. A bonus original track is offered at the end of this collection. The Christmas songs were recorded on December 13, 2008 on a circa 1885 acoustic Steinway Model C grand piano at the Marblehead Arts Association (King Hooper Mansion) in Marblehead, Massachusetts (recorded live while patrons enjoyed the artwork within) ."Winter Weather" is an original composition from the"Etched In Stone" album, recorded October 9, 1999 on the same piano. Arrangements and performances by Adam Zampino.----------------------------------------------Song credits:Silent Night - Music c. 1818 by Franz Xaver GruberO Holy Night - Music c. 1855 by John Sullivan DwightAngels We Have Heard On High - Traditional French melody c. 18th centuryJingle Bells - Music c. 1857 by James Lord PierpontIt Came Upon A Midnight Clear - Music c. 1850 by Richard Storrs WillisWe Three Kings - Music c. 1857 by John Henry Hopkins, Jr.Hark The Herald Angels Sing - Music c. 1840/1855 by Felix Mendelssohn/William Hayman CummingsAuld Lang Syne - Traditional Scottish melody c. 17/18th century
