This CD is an homage to the brilliant and challenging compositions of the great jazz pianist Bill Evans. As an improvisor I have always been attracted to the beauty of Evans' harmonic approach to standard tunes, especially his treatment of ballads.His own compositions provide insight into both his romantic and intellectual passage towards music. I hope we've in some way we have been able to illuminate as an ensemble the beauty and intelligence of one of the truly great masters of American music. Hope you enjoy!Tony Gaboury
