Anji Sami has done the hard yards, she’s put her hand up, and now she’s pinning her ears back and going for the corner! Sami relocated from Onehunga, Auckland and has become a long time feature in the Dunedin scene, supporting the likes of Anika Moa and Paul McClaney. Sami’s music has been gathering so much support that her fans have literally been begging for a record like this one. It’s gorgeous too, and further exhibits Sami’s talent, as a writer and performer of songs that sound deceptively spontaneous, like modern dances performed by people with light feet. The El Dorado E.P is Sami's first offering...it’s a little bit country, a little bit catchy --a lovely maelstrom of pedal steel, lilting vocals and delicate drums.
