Singularity is an outstanding album of unsurpassed musical depth and spiritual power from an authentic practitioner on the pinnacle of his craft. Admittedly, this album would have never attracted me to pick it up, let alone listen to it; I'm glad I did - and listen to it is something I have done on a number of occasions now.The Deep Voice Chanting is unique to Esoteric Buddhism, and to Western ears, may sound a little strange to start with, but persevere and really listen to this album and one will get immense pleasure from it and a sense of serenity that the album's intonation gives us.The Album raised a few eyebrows, but the general feeling was that it was a superb album, and one that could be played as ambient music in a store, rather than just meditated on. We had a number of customers offer very positive feedback on this album and wish to stay to listen to more.I have never gone for 'relaxation' music, finding them too ethereal for my tastes; however, I did enjoy this one. - DiogenesPeter started Tibetan Deep-voice Resonant chanting [Gyuto Voice] at age 20, not through tutelage, but through a past life memory triggered by an experience with his Professor at the prestigious art academy in Kassel, Germany, where Peter studied Art. In those days, in the late seventies Peter was the only Western proponent in the Northern Hemisphere of this type of chanting. Even so there were other overtone singers spread across Europe, Tibetan Gyuto chanting was virtually unknown… Peter’s Buddhist practice and scientific background have led him to a deep understanding of the physical and meta-physical properties of his chanting which he applies to healing modalities with Mantras from Mahayana and Vajrayana Buddhist lineages he is permitted to practice. Tibetan deep voice resonant chant operates partially in the Theta to Gamma wave spectrum of the Human brain and has a profound healing effect.Some of the chanting on this album was recorded live at Sera Jeye Monastery in India with resident monks and Lamas. Singularity itself was recorde in one take after long meditation. It spans over 21 minutes of continuous Gyuto Chant, which Peter practiced also in 2005 at the Lower Tantric College in India. Overall an enjoyable Album of Authentic Buddhist Music.
