Low Income Housing is an indie rock band from Bridgewater, New Jersey formed in 2016 by childhood friends Adam Uscilowicz (Rhythm Guitar), Andreas Carollo (Lead Guitar), Brandon Velloso (Drums), Gabe Bateman (Bass), and Jacob Fishman (Vocals). After numerous failed attempts at starting a group and defining their individual sound, the band began mixing many of their influences together (indie rock, punk, ska, 80's metal) and began writing together as Low Income Housing."We came up with our band name after we self recorded and produced our debut EP in a dorm room and a friends basement. The basement that we recorded most of the EP in was messy and all we had was a microphone, an audio interface, a set of speakers (most of the time only one worked), and an electronic drum kit. The bass guitar that we used for recording sessions was bought off of craigslist for $40 since we couldn't afford more. Due to our lack of funds to record in a studio and the lofi sound of our band, we decided on Low Income Housing." Their music is best described as a love child of The Strokes, Arctic Monkeys, Ska bands, with a knack for solos that will rip your face off.
