Notably Proficient Music, an independent record label, was established in 1992 by music producer and DJ, Trent A. Spears. Professionally known as DJ Supreme, he started creating his own music as a symphonic and jazz trumpet player for Kealing Junior High School in Austin, Texas, under the direction of musician and band director Walter Shaw. Spears went on to Lyndon B. Johnson High School where he continued to excel in the jazz and marching bands under the direction of legendary band director, Don T. Haynes. Throughout high school, DJ Supreme produced hip-hop music and hosted parties, becoming a well-known urban artist and DJ in Austin, Texas, Nashville, Tennessee, and New York, New York. Supreme performs and produces in a wide range of music genres, including Hip Hop, R&B, spoken word, and movie soundtrack productions.
