My Hands is the single off of the EP 'S' by Chaos Chaos (recorded and produced by Nathan Rosenberg at The Doghouse Studios NYC), to be released October 16 2012.S was written all across the map (in Sweden, Brooklyn, Washington DC and Seattle). Because of this, each song branches out in a different direction stylistically, combining elements of blues, pop, rock and electronic music. Asy and Chloe Saavedra believe there are no rules when it comes to songwriting."Music is like plate tectonics; every style is it's own continent- but they can all fit together in a beautiful, unusual way. We're sick of listening to albums where every song sounds similar. We believe songs should each be their own entity, so we treated the songs like people, each with different personalities, and tried to make each song as extreme as it could be. It was a huge challenge to fully embody the mood and atmosphere of every song, but it was our goal to test ourselves by putting ourselves in an uncomfortable place. We wanted to see how 'vulnerabilty' and 'taking risks' sound as an EP. We turned it into an adventure by only trying things we had never done before, and not holding back. We are used to hearing contemplative and reflective albums. This is not that." In the past Asy and Chloe (as Smoosh) have played with Bloc Party, Pearl Jam, Cat Power, Eels, Sufjan Stevens, Death Cab For Cutie, Jimmy Eat World and more. Chaos Chaos is gearing up to play the EP's songs and more new songs live this fall.
