The Step Defectors' self titled debut album is an original effort from the Oshawa hard rock / punk rock band. They are heavily influenced by the likes of Rage Against The Machine, The Hives, and Billy Talent. Their goal was to encapsulate their high energy live performances within an album, without the compromise of over production. All music was written by Heramb 'Dev' Maharaj. The talents of Jon Catanus on drums (Tracks 1-13) and John Eccleston on rhythm guitar (Tracks 1,5, and 7) were included on the album, alongside Dev on Vocals, Bass and Rhythm/Lead Guitar (Tracks 1-13).
