In 2003, music artists Dave Barrows and Mark Schleunes were driven by a collective desire to form their musical project"earRotator" to speak out against illegal war, rampant corporate greed and government intrusion into people's private lives. Sound familiar? Dave and Mark were clearly ahead of their time with their seminal CD"Holy Empire", and as it is now released on CD Baby, iTunes and other fine outlets, available for purchase as digital downloads, we are reminded of how prescient this record sounds, and how fresh and timely it remains. A mix of rock, electronica and other styles, Holy Empire still reflects the immense care they took to make a great record in the interest of peace, love and great music.
