专辑《Big Dogs》 简介
Bob Gulian played in New York and LA in the mid to late 70s and early 80s forming several bands and playing in clubs like the Bitter End, Kenny’s Castaways, The Troubadour, JPs, Home. The songs at that time were an attempt to carry the torch of punchy Rockabilly and pop through the maze of slick folk-pop and disco. He left the NYC music scene in 1981 and traveled to Paris. He made a living in the Paris Metro singing Bob Marley’s “I Want to Love You” a couple thousands of times. Then he came back to the US a couple of years later and took a fifteen-year hiatus from performing to make some great software (Myst, Kidpix, Where In World is Carmen San Diego) and assisted in making babies and raising them. In the last fifteen years, he’s picked it up again, put together a recording studio and a band consisting of himself, Nina Luongo and Robin Luongo (former aforementioned ‘babies’). The band is called Lazy Girl and the Recliners and they play the Lower Hudson Valley, recently opening for The Ballroom Thieves at the Purpl performance space.“Big Dogs” is Bob Gulian’s first released album, recorded at home in Katonah, New York. Three of the songs were mixed and mastered by Mark Dann at Mark Dann Recording.
