Samuel John began writing many of these songs years before they were ever recorded. By 2012 He was Ready to record and initially everything started fine. However unfortunate circumstances left him with no gear, no money, and no way to finish the album. It wasn't until two years later that he Finally got back into the Studio to finish tracking, production and mastering of all the songs on this album. He could think of no better title then"Two Years in the Rear View".
