“To The Moments” is a small retrospective collection of Pei Xiang’s electronic music. Each piece mirrors a music response to a different moment in time. The tracks appear with very different time scales, moods, and styles, but are all rooted from truthful thoughts. Tracks 1, 3, 4, 6, 7 and 11 mix traditional Chinese/Asian musical elements with electronicsTrack 2 is a lively acoustic guitar piece realized on synthesizersTracks 5, 8 and 12 are experimental electro-acoustic music using algorithmic manipulations on recorded soundsTrack 9 is melancholy fragments from a film soundtrack for piano, violin, Asian percussion samples and electronics Track 10 is an up-tempo, bubbling synthesizer pieceTrack 13 is a contemporary jazz including elements of idm and glitches This album went through an analog mastering process, and a high dynamic range is preserved.
