A solo first by this veteran songstress and song stylist. Linda Stoffel has toured nationally as a member of Blackberry Winter Band – the group that became famous for their appearance in four-time Oscar nominated"Winter's Bone." Known for her vocal harmonies in that group, she demonstrates here that she knows her chops, both by selecting tunes that suit her and by delivering them flawlessly and with heartfelt emotion. In this album, the stringband sound of BWB is tempered by the addition of cello, piano and hand drums. The result is rich, uplifting and poignant. A long time in coming, this solo effort is well worth the wait.
