Like my previously released CD"Boisterous Joy", this project is an all drum collection of funky grooves. Both employ drum sounds from around the world, but the"JuJu" pieces are, for the most part, built around the traditional (acoustic or electronic) Western drum set. This gives these compositions more of an"old school" Funk/Soul sound. As a player I find the syncopation and interweaving patterns interesting enough to just listen to - but pretty much everyone I've played this music for has been up and shakin' a tail feather in a matter of moments. So grab your dancin' shoes and get funky.
