Kenny.S，又名GEISHA-MAN，出身于传统日本音乐世家。祖母Enju曾被誉为最具传统风范的江户艺伎，祖父是长呗大师Kineya Sakyo，祖母是三味线演奏家Kineya Katoo。童年时期，无血缘关系的美国空军上校Russel C. Jackson成为他的祖父，厨房里终日播放的美军广播电台FEN流淌着六七十年代的美国音乐，对他产生了深远影响。他以个人身份开启音乐生涯，后加入札幌历史最悠久的现场酒吧中由Chuck Berry乐队直接指导的EZO ROCK AMATO乐队，表演经典摇滚翻唱并发行原创作品。乐队活动两年半后，他选择离开，暂停音乐事业，在札幌创办纹身工作室MOUNTAIN HIGH TATTOO WORKS。沉寂16年后，他以作曲家、吉他手和视觉创作者的身份，用Kenny S之名重新开始音乐活动。Kenny.S a.k.a GEISHA-MAN, is the grandson of Enju, who was once said to be the most traditional Edo geisha. His grandfather was Sakyo Kineya, a master of Nagauta (a style of traditional Japanese music), and his grandmother was Katoo Kineya, a shamisen player. He grew up in a family deeply rooted in traditional Japanese music. During his childhood, he was raised in a peculiar family environment where Colonel Russel C. Jackson of the U.S. Air Force, who was not related by blood, became his grandfather. He was influenced by the American music of the 1960s and 1970s that flowed from the U.S. military radio station FEN (Far East Network), which was always on in the kitchen. He began his career as a solo artist and later joined EZO ROCK AMATO, a band directly mentored by the Chuck Berry Band, in Sapporo's oldest live bar. They performed cover songs of classic rock based on American music and released original tracks. After two and a half years with the band, he left and put his music activities on hold to start a tattoo studio called MOUNTAIN HIGH TATTOO WORKS in Sapporo. After 16 years of silence, he resumed his music career under the name Kenny S. as a composer, guitarist, and visual creator.
