The writing process for Humanimalien began shortly after the release of Permatrip's debut LP, 25 Eyes. In early September of 2015, recording sessions began. On the drive home after the first night of recording, Permatrip's van was hit in a head on collision, rendering the band out of commission for a few months while we recovered from various injuries. In early 2016, we entered the studio once again, determined to finish recording the album. Now, after two and a half years in the making, Humanimalien is finally complete. A lot of hard work was put into this record; the old 'blood, sweat, and tears' saying is not a metaphor. Our very hearts and souls echo in the recordings of Humanimalien. It is of the utmost importance to never give up, to keep doing what you love no matter what odds are stacked against you and no matter what obstacles life hurls along your path. When you believe it, you can do anything. This record is for all of you, our beloved fans. So bring your mind's ear for a tumble down the rabbit hole with the sonic waves of Permatrip, let the notes soothe your being and ignite the fiery passionate drive of inspiration within. Rock onward!!!
