Every so often in hip hop a CD is introduced into the culture and is immediately recognized as a CLASSIC (Nas Ilmatic, Snoop Dog Doggie Style, Outkast Aqumini), then there are some that are over looked when they are created but over the years the fans and critics understand the importance of the artist or product and deem it a Classic (Jay-Z reasonable doubt, Outkast southernplayalisticadillacmuzik, NWA Straight Outta Compton). Even though it is uncertain which category “CLASSIC” will fall in, it is certain that it belongs in one of the two. With every part of the game covered Conceit spits fire over any and everything. In the album intro “Celebration” He boost “ to tell you the truth I’m a mutha****in beast/ my lyrics are like air to beats they can’t breathe/ my rhymes on work release they got felonies/ assassin beats and straight raping these melodies” Unlike most artist he always stays true to who he is which is observed in the first single “Do it Big” where he explains that money doesn’t make the man, he tells the competition “You talk a good game…but you lack skill/ you lack dedication…and you lack will/ you lack the heart of a champion soul of a winner/ you got the look of a loser the sound of a beginner” But where Conceit’s talents really stand out is on the Personal tracks such as :“Love, Life, and the Game” which is the second single and one of the most powerful and personal songs you will ever hear. He touches all of us with truth in words such as “ a yo I love love… but love doesn’t work/ love doesn’t look to love love looks to hurt. / But we all flirt… and try to find love/ thinking we need that other person to complete us/ not knowing ourselves we try to find a mate/ we rush into fate without thinking strait”, And the cd outro"Today" he come with the most heart and honest moments on the entire album. Over an impressive Blaqsanta track he mixes th e talents of three seperate singers and the help of an 8th grade choir class. Forever in search of creativity he has a full movie, 4 seprate songs(which he lables as scene1-4) including previews for the movie and an intermission in which he blends 4 seprate songs to show is skill and swag... this one is a must hear... His vivid description of the accounts make it very easy to understand and follow the entire movie start to finish. Classic is the perfect title for this album. Hopefully the public will open their ears to the best album independent or on a major in a very long time. Only time will tell…
