My Fair Fiend's full-length sophomore album"Making Monsters" has taken the band's signature haunting and melodic sound, doused it in fuel, and lit it on fire. All the elements that one would expect still remain intact - deep storytelling lyrics that speak to very real human emotions, melodies and harmonies all over the place, a slightly progressive edge in a catchy stuck-in-your-head package - only this time the album as a whole is undeniably rock. It just has more - more edge, more groaning guitar, more raw vocals, more beefy bass, more hard hits that beg your head to bang.
