Daniel M. P. Shaw is an established singer-songwriter mixing different musical styles and traditions, but with a folky element to most things he does. In addition to his solo career, he is a member of indie folk rock band, The Flocking Murmuration and formerly a member of world-pop-folk trio Tiger the Lion. On 1st January 2017, Dan set himself a challenge - to write a song every day for a whole year. The demo recordings from"A Song, A Day, A Year" are being released as a series of albums throughout 2017.Ranging from upbeat pop-folk through electro vibes to worldy textures."Kazuma's Guitar" was a double album Dan produced while living Japan, 15 years before its global release. Originally distributed in 2002 on a very small scale to friends, family and local fans while living in Japan, this is the first global reissue of this quirky, eclectic collection.
