Blue Sky Puppet Theatre, founded in 1974 by director Michael Cotter, is dedicated to the writing and performing of original scripts and music for children’s and family audiences. Fast pacing, unusual and creative design, a sense of humor and social consciousness typify their productions. They have a large and current repertoire of fine art and educational theatre topics including performances on fitness, exercise and nutrition, self-esteem and goal-setting, peaceful conflict resolution, bullying, math concepts, energy conservation, and brotherhood and individuality to name a few. Locally, Blue Sky has performed extensively in Maryland, Virginia and Washington, DC. And performed nationally in, Connecticut, New York, New Jersey, Pennsylvania, Delaware and North Carolina.
