Staff writer for the Los Angeles Times and one of the final judges for Parents' Choice writes:"Juliette McDonald shapes her gentle story songs-"Beetle-Butterfly Waltz,""Wolfie,""Windmill Jamboree,""Sailed Back Home"--with classic folk vocal stylings and deft, homespun instrumentals, although her yodeling tune,"The Meeting of Childs & Parker," would seem to pay close homage to"The Lonely Goatherd" from Rodgers and Hammerstein's"The Sound of Music." An unexpected, noteworthy touch: Soft, sweet instrumental interludes written by Alainah McDonald.” Lynne Heffley ©2007 Parents' Choice This CD is a wonderful blend of beautiful vocals, enticing lyrics, and inspired acoustic melodies that will bring the child out in all!
