James and Harry have been making music together as long as they can remember. James got his first electric guitar for his seventh birthday, Harry his first drum-kit around the same time. The Gant Project has performed at the Ark T centre in Oxford and a few other places. This is the band's second album: the first,"Nothing on the Never List", was recorded and released in 2011. James and Harry like to go into the studio whenever they have written and rehearsed an album's worth of new songs: a third album won't be long now! Some of the songs are responses to events like news stories:"What's the fighting for?" is an anti-war song, and James's"Leave a light on in heaven for me", from the first album, was written after seeing a report about the famine in Somalia."It's so fine" was written for a friend's wedding. Mostly, though, the songs are just about having fun- enjoy!
