The Silent features ambient tracks and soundscapes as well as alternative versions of tracks from the band's albums The Silent Surf (2010) and A Low High (2009). It was originally released as a bonus CD with early copies of vinyl version of The Silent Surf and until now has never been available anywhere else digitally or on CD. Packaged in a shrink wrapped cardboard sleeve.
