Sarah Feldman makes a slowly developing, textural, puzzle-like music. She integrates contrived structures with intuitive decision making by using rhythmic schemes, often layering repetitive phrases of differing tempi. Her work attempts to express the coexistence of perceptibility and complexity, stability and instability, as well as passive and analytical modes of perception. She co-leads a band called Watering and hosts Sarah’s Library, on n10.as online radio.
